Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortensen, an unintended philanthropist and peace advocate, tells the story of one man’s challenge to climb K2 in Pakistan, one of the most dangerous mountains in the world. Mortensen’s attempted climb failed as he was injured during the expedition and so couldn’t complete the climb, but in the aftermath was cared for by villagers who lived in the remote mountains.
